Event description

Roman Krznaric is a public philosopher and author who writes about the power of ideas to change society. His books have been published in more than 20 languages and include Empathy, The Wonderbox and Carpe Diem Regained. He is also the founder of the Empathy Museum and a founding faculty member of The School of Life. Roman’s ideas have been explored and adopted the world over and his latest book is The Good Ancestor: How to Think Long Term in a Short Term World. Asking how we can become good ancestors, this is an incredibly timely reframe on our most pressing concerns, including the climate emergency.

Join Roman in conversation with Small Giants Academy about the radical power of long-term thinking in a time of 24/7 media, digital distraction, climate chaos and political impasse. We will explore the challenges and opportunities when applying this thinking, the social and political aspects of thinking long term, and how we can each become good ancestors in our own lives.
