Intermediate metalworking workshop
About this Event:
Learn more about using a metal lathe and start machining your own metal fittings, tools, replacement parts and more!
This hands-on single session metalworking workshop will introduce members of the maker community to the some intermediate aspects of turning using a metal lathe.Â
This workshop covers the 4 jaw chuck, centre drill, boring and parting off.
Perfect for those with some experience with the use of a lathe, or those who have taken a break from metalworking and are looking for a chance to refresh their skills and get back in the workshop.

Places are limited and bookings are essential.
All sessions take place on-site at Makerspace Adelaide with small group sizes and direct instruction from an experienced metal-worker, cost is inclusive of all materials.
All participants must fill in a liability waiver at the beginning of the session, provided by the facilitator.Â
Participants must also have completed an Introduction to the metal lathe course OR have previous experience using the metal lathe.
