Next Steps In Calligraphy

Ready to take your modern calligraphy to the next level?

This relaxed two-hour workshop is perfect for anyone who has attended one of professional calligrapher Claire Coppard’s introductory classes, or already has a basic understanding of modern calligraphy.

Using a choice of either brush pens or pointed pen and ink, you’ll be given a refresh of the fundamentals before exploring ways to improve your technique, tackle tricky letter joins, experiment with different styles and add simple flourishes. You’ll pick up plenty of practical tips and tricks along the way before bringing everything together to create your own finished piece to take home.

This is a friendly, creative session designed to help you feel more confident and develop your own calligraphy style.

All materials, together with coffee and homemade cake, are included and you’ll have a full starter kit to take home with you, so that you can continue your practice at home.
