Next Wave Live: What it really takes to scale a sustainable business

What's holding back the businesses building a better economy? And what would it take to change that?

Join us for a live, morning conversation with the founders, funders and leaders working to scale sustainable innovation in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Drawn from insights in the latest Next Wave report, a barometer of sustainable innovation in Aotearoa New Zealand, this session brings together voices from across all areas of business to get real about the barriers, the opportunities and what needs to happen next.

Hear directly from:

• Sean Seaman, Founder & CEO, Mushroom Material — packaging made from mycelium and agricultural waste

• Sophie Poelman, Founder, Lof — a design studio reimagining light, material and form through New Zealand wool

They'll share what scaling actually looks like, where they see opportunity, and what support, finance and market signals could unlock their next stage of growth.

We'll also explore the finance gap facing impact-driven businesses, one of the defining themes from the Next Wave insights. Plus, we’ll introduce SBN's work on the proposed Sustainable Business Fund as a new model of support.

This is a session about mobilising the wider ecosystem around the businesses shaping a low-emissions, circular and regenerative future for Aotearoa New Zealand. Come ready to be part of the conversation and part of the solution.
