Description
The Art of Giving
Raise a glass. Create hope.
Join us by the river for a golden evening of art, community and impact in support of Nexus Case.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Engineer's Hut at Rivermakers, The Art of Giving brings our community together for a night of connection, generosity and purpose - while raising vital funds for Brisbane individuals and families experiencing hardship.
Now in its third year, our Community Impact Fundraiser builds on two successful events that have raised meaningful funds for our local community. In 2026, we are proud to partner with Nexus Care, a Brisbane-based not-for-profit providing practical support, genuine connection and pathways to long-term independence.
Why your support matters
The need within our community is impossible to ignore.
In 2025, approximately 480,000 Queensland households experienced severe food insecurity—around 22% of all households. One in five children also face mornings without access to breakfast, revealing a quiet crisis in our local schools.
In the past year alone, Nexus Care delivered the equivalent of more than 327,000 meals to people experiencing hardship.
Our goal for 2026 is bold but simple: to raise $60,000 to fund six months of Nexus Care’s Fresh Start Food Program, helping local families access nutritious food and practical support when they need it most.
Nexus Care also creates lasting impact through its:
School Breakfast Program: helping local children begin the day with a healthy breakfast
COACH Mentoring Program: supporting people facing barriers to employment to find and retain meaningful work
Community Connections Program: creating opportunities for belonging and wellbeing through therapeutic art and community engagement
You can see the difference this support makes through Nat’s story and her journey with Nexus Care.
