NEW FACULTY ORIENTATION (In-person)

Date: August 26, 2025
Time: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Location: North Vancouver Campus CE122
Facilitators: ​​Bhuvinder Vaid & Yi Cui


This workshop will prepare participants for teaching success at the beginning of their semester. Therefore, by the end of the day participants will be able to: 

  • Identify resources and social connections to support their teaching (i.e., eLearn & technology orientation, CTE consultations, departmental contacts? etc.).   
  • Recognize the diverse learning needs of students.  
  • Align high impact teaching practices to support student learning. 
  • Identify their role in the faculty evaluation process and know where to go for support.
