Ngöndro Practice Retreat
Event description
Siddhartha Intent Instructors Ani Zangmo and Tsering Chodron invite you to join, in person, a Longchen Nyingtik Ngöndro group practice retreat at the Mahabodhi Stupa of Great Awakening, Bellingen, NSW. As Jigme Khyentse Rinpoche has said, "just to see or circumambulate the stupa brings great blessings".
Our retreat coincides with the anniversary of Chökhur Duchen, the first turning of the Wheel of Dharma, on 28th July: a precious opportunity to make offerings and practice at the stupa on this multiplying merit day.
This program is open to those enrolled in Ngöndro Gar or anyone else who wishes to learn about or start practising Ngöndro. Additional guidance will be provided for those practising Chetsun Nyingtik Ngöndro.
The retreat will begin at 2.00pm on 26th July with introductions and guided practice of the complete Longchen Nyingtik Ngöndro text. We will spend the next five days focusing for a full day on each of the sections of Ngöndro - Outer Preliminaries, Refuge & Bodhicitta, Vajrasattva, Mandala & Kusali, and Guru Yoga: also providing tuition and answering questions. It is recommended that participants attend the full program.
