NHMC Midwinter Gathering - Workshops, Jam, & Concert
Event description
All are invited to Northeast Heritage Music Camp’s Midwinter Gathering on March 3, 2024 to experience what makes NHMC special. Each of our two workshop programs will give you a “mini” Band Lab experience learning tunes and playing with others with a mix of focus on melody and rhythm, along with a potluck supper, jam, and closing faculty concert. The Band Lab has been a staple of the NHMC summer camp and this workshop will give you a taste of what you might experience if you come to NHMC. You can come for all or part of the event. Prices are on a sliding scale so pay what you can to support our traditional music programming
We’ll offer 2 parallel workshop program options (details to follow) each with morning and afternoon sessions
Program 1 : Katie McNally and Jeremiah Mclane
Program 2 : Becky Tracy and Owen Marshall
Doors open at 11:30 (Don’t be late! Give yourself time to get settled in and tuned up)
Workshop am: 12-1:15 pm
Workshop pm: 1:45-3 pm
Workshops will be organized (within each program) into melody instruments & rhythm instruments
Workshop Finale & Jam Session: 3:15-4:45 pm
Potluck Dinner: 5-6:15 pm
Faculty Concert: 6:30-7:30 pm
Concert takes place at First Congregational Church, Lebanon
