Nicholls Planting Day

Attention keen Gardeners  - Nicholls Pocket Park needs some loving care!

Ginninderra Landcare Catchment Group and SEE Change Gungahlin invite the community to help restore Nicholls Pocket Park to its former glory.

This vital natural habitat is not only the permanent home of a community of animals but also an important ‘stop over' for creatures travelling through the connected green pockets of Canberra’s reserves. The long-term health and resilience of these corridors is essential to maintaining healthy ecosystems for our native plants and animals.  

In an effort to lure our pollinators and small birds back we’ll be planting out a range of native ground covers and small shrubs and providing tips from our team on how to design your own biodiverse gardens.  

Gardening equipment and afternoon tea will be provided. Your restoration efforts will encourage a variety of life forms, plants and animals, to continue to be a part of a flourishing Nicholls community.… See you there!
