Tea Uglow: How to think about Innovation and Technology as a Creative Practitioner

Event description

Tea Uglow gives the inaugural lecture from NIDA's Future Centre exploring innovation and technology from the perspective of a creative practitioner. A look back at the growth of the internet and tech in culture, what we should and shouldn't worry about AI, and how to wrap your head around the endless opportunities we have to make new and exciting kinds of dramatic art.

Tea Uglow is the Peabody-winning co-founder of Dark Swan - a creative & strategic advisory focused on future trends and exploring cultural-digital interfaces. Tea founded Google Creative Labs in Sydney (2011) and London (2007) and became globally known for award-winning UX, AI and AR projects with cultural organisations. She is happily autistic, queer, and a co-author of the trans flag emoji in 2020. Her book Great LGBTQ Speeches [Quarto Press] was published in 2022.
