Tropic like it's hot at the final Night Lab of 2023

Can you feel the change in the air? The hot winds, the spring rain, the unshakeable seasonal urge to throw on your best Hawaiian shirt and go party in a museum after hours?

That's Night Lab calling, and we're closing out 2023 with a localised monsoon season of art, science, and a deluge of adults-only fun as part of the Feast Festival 2023 program.

Inspired by all things equatorial, Night Lab: Tropic Like It’s Hot promises to be a steamy, stylish and occasionally spicy evening of science, art and adults-only fun.

This top-to-bottom takeover of the Museum will feature drag star Kane Enable on hosting duties alongside local queens Eve Elle and Wundes, sea-sational live performances from the Pacific Island Council of South Australia, fin-tastic floor talks from experts in our Temple of Science, and stormy beats from DJ Ruby Chew, and much more.

As always, all five floors of the Museum will be packed with sea-riously fun activities, from hanging ten on a mechanical ride-on surfboard to working those hips with Adelaide Hula Hoopers, singing along to Blue Hawaii at karaoke to exploring alternate worlds with VR-Zone experience.

To keep the night flowing, ticketholders receive a free drink upon entry, with a bountiful menu available from the Museum Café all night. Plus, the night doesn’t end with Night Lab: ticket-holders can also gain discounted entry to Mary’s for a fittingly fabulous after party.

In a coconut shell, it's a “nightclub for nerds” where everyone is welcome, so grab your ticket now before they all sail away – this is one tropical island you won't mind being marooned on!
