Learn how to take images of streaks of light by playing with your shutter speed!

Please Note: This Course is designed for children of school ages between 12 & 18 years.*

Have you ever wondered how to create amazing images of streaks of traffic lights, the calmness of water or of people walking?

Learning how to use your camera's shutter will broaden your knowledge of understanding and will help you to create images that your friends will become envious of.

From the lights of the Bolte Bridge, the infamous spider web bridge and the swirl of the Melbourne Star, come and join Ted's Academy for a fun and interactive photographic workshop.

Topics Covered:

  • The use of lights to create patterns
  • Understanding of ISO, Aperture & Shutter Speed
  • How to use slow shutter speeds for particular results
  • The best way to use particular lighting tools

What to Bring:

  • Cameras and lenses will be supplied courtesy of Canon. 
    If you prefer to bring your own, you are more than welcome. Just make sure you charge your batteries!
  • Memory Card so you can keep all your photos from the day
  • Tripod - this is a MUST! Limited demo stock is available to share
  • Weather appropriate clothing
  • Comfortable walking shoes

    Location: This session will not be held in store. Please meet at The Cow in the Tree on Harbour Esplanade.

    Please Note: As this course is held outside, in the case of bad weather, the course will be re-scheduled to a more suitable time.

    *The School Holiday Program is strictly for children of school ages between 12-18 years. Anyone outside of this age range will not be permitted to participate on the day.

    Parents, you are more than welcome to accompany your child/children for the session.

    Our Ted's Academy Trainer's all have a valid Working with Children Check.
