Night Walk Morialta Waterfall Hike

Join us for a Night Walk at Morialta as we explore the First Falls hike under the stars! This guided walk takes you along the trail to the stunning waterfall and back, offering a rare chance to experience the park’s after-dark sights and sounds. Discover the nocturnal wildlife that comes alive at night, learn about the unique ecology of the area, and enjoy a fresh perspective on one of Adelaide’s most loved trails.

DIFFICULTY / ACCESSIBILITY / FITNESS REQUIREMENTS

From the Mori­al­ta Falls Trail­head to First Falls (1.6 km return) the incline ris­es gen­tly on a wide hard packed grav­el trail to reach the last sec­tion which is a short board­walk to just below First Falls. This walk is a Grade 2 Easy to Mod­er­ate trail so some peo­ple may require assis­tance. This trail is suit­able for prams. 

MEETING LOCATION

Meet at the Morialta First Falls Trailhead, carparking available and toilets. Woodforde SA 5072. Meet at the large gum tree opposite the trail head.

WHAT TO BRING

• Hiking Boots/Enclosed footwear
• Small backpack
• Hat and sunscreen/other weather protection (rain jacket if forecast)
• Drinking water
• Personal medication
• Torches with red light to maintain night vision

EVENT CANCELLATIONS

In the case of park closure due to fire danger or other hazardous weather events, the event will be cancelled, and you will be notified via Humanitix.
