Description

Nightingale Housing delivers homes that are socially, financially and environmentally sustainable. We believe homes should be built for people, not profit. Nightingale Umarkoo Wayi is our first project in Coburg.

Nightingale Umarkoo Wayi was designed by Kennedy Nolan, the architects behind the award-winning Nightingale Leftfield and the soon-to-ballot Nightingale Fitzroy.

Kennedy Nolan are masters of incorporating colour and texture in ways that align with the reductionist design ethos of Nightingale Housing. Umarkoo Wayi's materiality is bold yet simple and sustainable, a value that permeates every aspect of the building.

On our tours you will hear from a Nightingale team member on the history, ethos, construction, design and technical features of the project. Nightingale Housing does not engage real estate agents or build display suites. Instead, we run public tours so you can get a feel for our homes and their communal spaces.

Please meet on the footpath outside the Sydney Road entrance. The building is home to a community of residents so please do not enter the building on your own.

Please don't print your tickets, we prefer to have a waste free tour. You can check in on the day with just your name.

If you have a group that is interested in a private tour, these can be arranged by contacting info@nightingalehousing.org
