About the Book: Alex Rider meets Stranger Things in this fun, adventure-driven MG series from a star Australian author. Maxwell Pidgeon thinks monsters only exist in nightmares. Then he's invited to join the Nightmare League - a top-secret organisation that protects the world from the creatures lurking in the dark. As an agent-in-training, Max must prove he has what it takes to keep the monsters at bay. There's only one problem - the League is hiding the truth about Max's missing dad. Can Max survive training and trust his new friends, or will he risk his life and the lives of others, to make his family whole again?

About the Author:

Reece is the bestselling author of A Girl Called Corpse and The Lonely Lighthouse of Elston-Fright.

His love for stories - especially those filled with whimsy, magic, and a little bit of weirdness - began as a child growing up in rural Western Australia. There was an unfortunate lack of witches and ghosts on his family farm, and so Reece had to find them in books instead. It wasn’t until high school though that Reece thought to try his hand at writing his own stories. He loved it, and never looked back.

Reece now lives in Sydney. When not reading or writing, he can usually be found talking to his dog, Hagrid, and hoping that one of these days Hagrid might decide to talk back.
