Event description
RECOGNITION AND RECKONING - 16th National Indigenous Legal Conference + Gala Dinner
Ngalaya is proud to host the 16th National Indigenous Legal Conference on Gadigal Country15-17 October 2023.
Connect with Indigenous and non-Indigenous colleagues as we reflect and learn from leading practitioners, scholars and activists about Indigenous law and legal issues. This year's NILC will be particularly impactful with the timing of the Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum.
The NILC Gala Dinner / Ngalaya Ball will celebrate First Nations excellence and involvement in the legal profession over a three course meal at Doltone House Hyde Park.
The NILC Call for Papers closed on April 14 - make a late submission here.
FIRST NATIONS COMMUNITY AND STUDENT SUBSIDISED/SPONSORED TICKETS
Ngalaya wishes for NILC to be accessible to all First Nations people. If you do not have financial support from an institution or employer to attend NILC, you can apply to be a sponsored/subsidised delegate.
Ngalaya will assess applications on a rolling basis as the conference approaches.
