The immensely popular lunchtime concert series returns to the Hobart Town Hall for five more fabulous concerts!

Curated by VDB’s Artistic Director, Julia Fredersdorff, our 2024 series showcases some of lutruwita/Tasmania's finest musical talent, alongside interstate and international guests, in an eclectic program of music spanning a rich variety of genres and styles. 

Escape the hustle and bustle and step into an oasis of calm listening to beautiful music in the glorious surrounds of the Hobart Town Hall Ballroom.

Tuesday 20 August - Song of the Birds

This special concert presentation welcomes guests from nipaluna/Hobart's Japanese Sister City, Yaizu. Featuring performances from Yurikamome Children’s Choir and nipaluna/Hobart's Mount Carmel College Choirs, this cross-cultural Lunchbox Concert culminates in a performance of Song of the Birds with the divine sounds of VDB and massed children's choir.
