Join Poetica's Miriam Hechtman for a nite time writing workshop that uses literary prompts, meditation and time to prompt your writing.

There is something about sitting and writing in community. It's a different kind of writing experience - the discipline of time, the engagement with participants, the sounds of writing, and the opportunity to share words with others. Miriam will bring a selection of poems, literary excerpts and other writing tools to this session. There will be quiet writing time and then a chance to share your work. And repeat.

Miriam Hechtman is a writer, producer and poet. She is the founder and creative director of Poetica, a live poetry, music and arts initiative, and the editor of The Alphabet of Women (Ginninderra Press 2022). Throughout her working life, Miriam has partnered with artists and creatives to produce significant projects on screen, on the page and in real life. She lives in Sydney with her husband, two daughters, and Poppy the dog.
