Jack Palmer & Ensemble: 'Imprints'
Composer/video artist/performer Jack Palmer present Imprints, a new work for percussion ensemble, electronics and 3d models. Featuring Ollie Cox, Zela Papageorgiou, Hamish Upton, and Michael McNab.

Imprints systematically twists and turns through 24 scenes that bring together projections of 3d models and sound. It is a journey into the Ālaya-vijñāna itself. Lifeless, yet familiar objects spin in a dimensionless void, unlocated and decontextualised, they are open conduits for meaning and sensation which is activated and energised by percussion and electronics. In this process, the aural is ‘imaged’ and a symbolic logic emerges, fragmented and opaque, like a dream that you can’t quite remember.
