August 22nd. Bigger than ever before.
Live sets from legendary local post-punk band 𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓 (est. 1979), hard-hitting producer and rapper 𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐒𝐀, and 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐎𝐑𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐀. Unmissable eclectic DJ sets from Eora/Sydney-based post-genre favourite 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐈𝐒𝐓 and the dangerous techno/ghetto/deconstructed duo 𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐒 𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐒. Performances from 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐂𝐄𝐘 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐄 – whose work reaches towards the raw emotive force of love – and more TBA. We are also so thrilled to bring you Tanzanian mother-and-daughter duo 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐑𝐄𝐇𝐄𝐌𝐀 𝐓𝐀𝐉𝐈𝐑𝐈 and the Los-Angeles-based enigma 𝐒𝟐𝟖𝟎𝐅 thanks to SOFT CENTRE.

𝘘𝘶𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘈𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘙𝘦𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘢 𝘛𝘢𝘫𝘪𝘳𝘪 [𝘛𝘡𝘈]:
From the ever sprawling and bustling Dar Es Salaam Singeli scene, comes unique mother-and-daughter duo Rehema Tajiri and Queen Asher. Following the footsteps of her mom, Queen Asher decided to become the first Singeli female DJ, learning from Sisso, Maiko, Jay Mitta and others in the scene. She produces beats for her mother and the two are developing as a uniquely dangerous duo, premiering at Nyege Nyege in 2022 and at CTM in January 2023.

𝘚280𝘍 [𝘜𝘚𝘈]:
Where did the bird land? Or maybe it weakened and was swallowed by the waters, no one could know. So the people waited for her return, and waited and grew tired of waiting. They forgot they had released the bird, even forgot there was a bird and a world sunken under water. They forgot where they had come from, how long they had been there, and where they were going so long ago that the animals have turned to stone.
