    Event description

No Lights No Lycra Brisbane would like to acknowledge the First Nations people as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we gather and dance in Meeanjin, Brisbane. We recognise the country north and south of the Brisbane River, as the home of both the Turrbul and Jagera nations. We pay deep respects to all Elders past, present and rising.

No Lights No Lycra is a weekly lights off chance to dance in the dark for the pure joy of dancing!

At No Lights No Lycra there is:

    💡  no lights

    🤭no chatter*

    📵no phones

    ⚡no inhibitions

*but feel free to sing, clap, cheer to your heart’s content if the mood takes you!

    Tuesday 7-8pm

Dancers are strongly encouraged to arrive before lights out to ensure you can get your bearings and find your spot to boogie.

If it's your first time please arrive with plenty of time to familiarise yourself with the space before the lights go out!

We are 100% committed to providing you with a space to dance where you feel safe to move freely and switch off from the outside world:

    • Each Session is capped to ensure we have plenty of space to dance. (this is well within current Dept of Health COVID advice).

    • If you are feeling unwell or have been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed or suspected of having COVID-19. please do not attend NLNL.
