NO SKIPS - LISTEN 004
Description
For this opportunity we will have Tomás Barbera as our host: an incredible musician and song writer, part of The Lipsticks Band and Karaka Orchestra amongst other projects, and friend of the NO SKIPS family. What album will he share?
-----
People today listen to music while doing something else, in apps designed to make the user skip discomfort until you find what you 'like', given by algorithms, commanding passive listening, cultivating the impossibility of recognising the artists name, song name, lyrics, or even if it is a real artist anymore.
-----
Let's take a different position. Let's reject optimisation in favour of trust. Let's agree to be honest with the artist's intention, with the music, with ourselves.
-----
NO SKIPS presents a listening experience: An ode to music, with no interruptions. One album, in full. No algorithms, no skipping.
-----
Lo-fi ambiance, hi-fi audio, minimal intervention wine.
-----
Realness begins when avoidance ends.
