Nocturnal Wildlife Prowl in Yarran Dheran

Experience the Mullum Mullum Valley after dark on a guided nocturnal wildlife walk through Yarran Dheran with respected local environmentalist Ian Moodie.

Using red-light torches to minimise disturbance to wildlife, you'll explore the reserve in search of the diverse animals that emerge after sunset. Along the way, Ian will share his knowledge of the local environment and introduce you to the fascinating nocturnal species that call this special place home.

This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of the bush at night, learn about local wildlife and discover a different side of the Birrarung catchment.

Children are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please note this event is not suitable for very young children or prams.

Please wear suitable clothing, enclosed walking shoes and dress for the weather.

• Most Riverfest events are free, and many have limited places with long waitlists. Please only book if you're confident you can attend, so others don't miss out. Bookings are limited to 2 tickets for smaller events and 4 tickets for larger events.

Due to the natural terrain and bush tracks, this event is not suitable for wheelchair users. Participants should enter via the Ashburton Drive entrance, Mitcham, and walk through the car park to meet at the Visitors Centre.
