Noongar Language Afterschool - Term 4 workshops

We’re excited to announce our Kids Kalyakoorl Noongar Language lessons are back at the Vic Park Community Centre for Term 4 2025!
Young learners will explore Noongar language and culture through fun games, songs, storytelling, craft activities, artefact demonstrations, and more. Whether you’re new to Noongar or have joined us before, there’s something for everyone!

📅 When: Thursdays, 4:00 – 5:00 PM
Term 4 Dates: 23rd October – 11th December
📍 Where: Victoria Park Community Centre, East Victoria Park WA
💰 Cost: Free! (Bookings essential)
Who Can Join:
Kids of all primary school ages (younger siblings welcome with adult attendance)
Indigenous and non-Indigenous participants
Parents are welcome to join for free – stay and learn or drop and go
Accessibility:
Step-free access, disabled toilets with baby change, outdoor space, and gender-neutral toilets.
Meet Your Teacher:
Dylan Collard, a proud Wadjak Balardong Noongar man, local VP resident, primary teacher, and language expert, will guide the sessions.

Spaces are limited – bookings are essential!

Some of the sessions will be photographed in order to record the moment and share with our community in the future, you will have the option to opt out.
PARTICIPATION
Suited to kids of all primary school ages. Younger siblings can also join in with an adult's attendance.
Option for adults to 'drop and go' or stay and join into the fun
Weekly attendance not essential, but encouraged.
The lessons are designed for different learning styles and abilities.
