Sister duo 'North and Elsewhere' (NSW) bring their debut album tour to Naarm/Melbourne. They'll be joined by local acts Pirritu and Wattle Lane for a night of folk storytelling at Cafe Gummo.
Cate Taylor is an award-winning, indie-folk songwriter from Naarm (Melbourne), performing delicately crafted material with voice, guitar and mandolin. Amla is a captivating multi-instrumentalist (flute and violin) drawing on her classical training and extensive performance experience. Together they form the contemporary folk duo Wattle Lane.
Ngiyampaa songman PIRRITU creates gentle, honest folk music that reflects his ongoing journey of reconnecting with land, language family and Country. Rich instrumentation and distinctive vocals carry stories of love, loss and hope, inviting audiences into a deeply personal and moving musical experience.
Hazel and Roanna Law were raised on folk music and family harmonies in the heart of the Sunshine Coast. When you're born into folk music it stays with you. They are current finalists for Youth Artist of the Year in the Australian Folk Music Awards and recently won the live final of ListenUp Music's Songwriting Prize. Their debut album 'Safe Harbour', an ode to strength, travel, healing and childhood, came out in July 2026.
