North Bathurst community pest meeting

Join Local Land Services in Bathurst for a pest control and community meeting covering aerial shoot results, feral pig baiting, and the local landholder program.

Event details:

Following the success of an aerial shoot earlier this year, Central Tablelands Local Land Services is hosting a community meeting for landholders in the North Bathurst area, including Vittoria, Freemantle, and surrounding regions.

Join this session to:

• Discuss current and future pest control options, with a focus on community-led efforts to tackle feral pigs and other pests.

• Explore the creation of a community pig control group to strengthen collaboration, share resources, and improve outcomes across the region.

• Provide details on subsidised grain available to landholders for pig baiting programs, helping reduce costs and increase participation.

• Feature updates from large-scale landholders (public and private) on their pest control programs and future plans.

The meeting is a great opportunity to ask questions, connect with neighbours, and strengthen local networks for managing pests. All landholders in the area are invited to come along and play an active role in protecting their properties from the impacts of feral pests.
