North Metro Conversation – WACOSS State Budget Submission

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

The Western Australian Council of Social Service invites you to our State Budget Submission community conversation. Each year WACOSS makes a Submission to the WA Government outlining priorities for public investment for people and communities who experience vulnerability and disadvantage, highlighting emerging issues, priorities of frontline community services and investment in community services.

In his first press conference after being elected Premier, Roger Cook stated ‘the measure of any society is the way it treats its most disadvantaged and defenceless.’ WACOSS sees this as a big opportunity for our advocacy. Now is the time to bring the issues of the day to the new Cook Government, to highlight the key issues including escalating cost-of-living and housing availability crisis and advocate for real change.

WACOSS is seeking input on your key priorities and views to inform our State Budget Submission.

This conversation will be convened by Graham Hansen, Senior Policy Officer, and Emily Hull, Senior Policy and Project Officer. It is free to attend and open to all NFP and NGO community and social service providers working in the North Metro area, or if you are unable to attend any other date closer to your service area.
