NORTH Queer Yarn (Fibre Arts Group)
Description
Yarn is a community group for LGBTQ+ people and allies that are passionate about fibre arts and are wanting to meet new people, and build community in a fun and inclusive environment.
Through shared fibre arts activities, Yarn will offer a welcoming, low-pressure way to meet others and build ongoing social connections.
Having something to do with our hands, no expectation of eye contact, and tools to communicate how ready we feel to chat will help people connect at their own pace.

There is a north location and a south location available for groups. But spots are limited, so please book in early!
FAQs
- Do I need to know how to knit/crochet already?
No, people of any skill level are welcome.
- Do I need to bring my own project?
People are encouraged to bring their own projects, but materials will be available if you want to try something new.
- How much does it cost to attend?
The group is free to attend and run by volunteers :)
- What if I don't feel like talking?
That's ok! We have communication tools to tell other people how much you feel like talking that day. And if you don't feel like talking at all, that's ok. Some days it's just important to be around people. Even if you can't speak that day.
