Are you a mum with a bub or young child looking for a reason to get out, meet other mums and enjoy some fresh air?

Come along to our Mums & Bubs Walk & Talk at Bucasia Esplanade for a relaxed morning of gentle walking, mindfulness, conversation and connection. 💚

If you've been searching for your mum crew, or looking for something to brighten your week by gently moving your body, spending time in nature and enjoying a great coffee, this is the gathering for you and it's FREE!

There is something really special about connecting with other women and mothers who are walking the same journey, navigating the same stage of life and experiencing the highs, challenges and little moments that come with having young children. The connections made during these years can become more than just a friendly face at the park — they can grow into lasting friendships, support networks and a sense of community that stays with you well beyond the early years.

This morning is about creating an easy, welcoming opportunity to get out, meet other mums, enjoy some time outdoors and build those local connections.

Come with a friend, come on your own and meet someone new, or simply enjoy a mindful walk with your bub.

There is no expectation to walk a particular distance or pace — prams, babies, toddlers and all walking speeds are welcome!

🌿 WHAT TO EXPECT

9:00–9:15am | Arrive & mingle
Come along, say hello and settle in. There will be plenty of time to meet some other mums before we head off.

9:15am | Welcome & getting started
We'll explain how the morning will work and introduce some simple mindfulness prompts to help you slow down, notice your surroundings and connect with yourself, your bub or your walking buddy.

9:30–10:20am | Mums & Bubs Walk & Talk
We'll head off along the Bucasia Esplanade at an easy, comfortable pace.

Along the way, you'll find gentle mindfulness prompts designed to encourage you to pause and notice the little things around you — what you can see, hear and feel.

You can chat with a friend, get to know someone new or simply enjoy some quiet time walking with your bub.

10:20am | Coffee, conversation & connection ☕
We'll make our way over to the local café for a relaxed cuppa and some time to connect, reflect, laugh and chat.

11:15am | Official finish
The organised gathering will finish, but you're welcome to stay on and continue chatting if you'd like.

💚 This is about connection and wellbeing, not intense exercise.

It's about creating a welcoming space where mums can meet other mums, spend some time outdoors, connect with their local community and enjoy some time together with their bubs.

The morning is part of Queensland Mental Health Week 2026, with this year's theme Build Community, Build Wellbeing.

We're hoping this can be the beginning of something ongoing — helping mums build connections that continue beyond this one morning and potentially grow into a regular local walking group.
