Parents and teenage girls (including those that identify as female) (age 11-19) Join us on Sunday, June 20 @ 2pm for a two hour session for teen girls which focuses on wellness and mindfulness. With the recent rapid growth of teen mental health welfare on Sydneys Northern Beaches, we have taken the initiative to provide parents and their teenage kids with some tips on combating that overwhelming feeling of pre-adulthood issues/feelings.

We have several guest speakers (to be announced) that will focus on practises to help teens with day to day thoughts/challenges. From mindfulness meditation, anxiety coping mechanisms, body positive thinking, building self esteem, self care, nutrition and bullying. Please note, each speaker will talk for 15-20 minutes, however information on how to connect with their services or other local services will be available after the event.

PLEASE BOOK tickets for yourself and those you wish to attend in your family. Be mindful not to book for friends etc, as we would like to leave room for others to have a chance to attend.

We must stress, this workshop is NOT a suicide prevention seminar. The speakers may or may not have experienced this in the past, however, professional help from doctors, LifeLine or Mission Australia is the best form of help to those in need.

There will be an anonymous Q&A too if you wish to ask the speakers some questions relating to their offerings.

ABOUT THE ORGANISER

The event is run by Amy Clarke from Confetti Rebels, a Northern Beaches small business owner and mother who is passionate about mental health, body positivity and wellbeing for women and kids.

Amy is thankful to ALL the amazing local people that have currently contributed their time, services and knowlege so far to help organise this event and make it happen. A BIG thank you to David, the President of North Curl Curl SLSC for allowing us to use the venue.

What about the boys? We are working very hard to find the correct youth services to provide attendees with an empowering, male led workshop. It is coming! We promise. We cannot have both sexes at this workshop, it just wouldn't work. In the near future there will be an announcement for a male teen youth wellness workshop.
