Northern Region Lay Retreat
Peace that the world cannot give
Kath writes about the focus of the retreat.
Our world is crying out for peace. We see distress in many lives, in nations, in the planet itself. Yet human hearts, even when broken and despairing, have the capacity for love that heals and peace that is beyond understanding.
During this retreat we will explore our own capacity for peace and peacemaking through stillness, reflections, and the beauty of creation.
The disciples asked Jesus: “Where do you dwell” and he replied “Come and see!”.
There will be Christian Meditation daily & Morning and Evening Prayer on Saturday. There will be opportunity for individual spiritual direction if desired. Since Fr Nicholas Whereat has now retired, this year we will be welcoming Fr Ray Clifton as our new retreat priest.
