Description

Join Young Farmers Connect for a field day on Friday 6th March at Goatie Hill Farm in Blue Knob, with guest speaker and agroecologist Joel Williams. The day will be catered with local produce, handmade by Jenny Creasy on the farm, giving you a true farm-to-plate experience.

Joel Williams

Joel Williams is an independent agronomist specialising in soil biology and plant nutrition. He works with growers internationally to optimise soil function, plant health, and resilient farming systems.

Goatie Hill Farm

The day will be hosted at Goatie Hill Farm, where Jenny Creasy puts holistic management and regenerative thinking into practice. Through her herbal medicine farm and goat enterprise, Jenny works closely with land, livestock, and plants to regenerate soil health and produce high-quality medicinal herbs supplied to the Nimbin Apothecary.

The aim of the day is to dive deeper into soil and plant nutrition and explore practical ways to further enhance crop performance using organic and biological approaches. The morning will include a guided farm tour, followed by an in-depth session with Joel Williams on soil and plant nutrition, and interactive discussions and demonstrations focused on foliar applications and crop response.

The day will also be a great opportunity to meet and network with other farmers and growers from across the Northern Rivers region. We hope to see you there
