Noticing Wonder: Intro to Nature Journaling

Nature Journaling is the practice of noticing, of making observations and recording them using words, pictures, and numbers in the pages of a notebook. You do not need to be an artist or a naturalist to begin, and anyone can develop these skills with practice.

In this workshop, we will learn about the benefits of nature journaling, possible layouts for a nature journal page, explore different prompts and ways to nature journal, and discover a three-part system to get started: I Notice, I Wonder, It Reminds Me Of. We will create some textures to practice before diving into drawing from nature.

Anyone with a sense of curiosity and a desire to learn how to nature journal can join in the fun! All are welcome.
