Join the first workshop on seeds with a seed expert.

WHO YOU WORK WITH
Gregg Muller has been growing vegetables since he was a child, and in his own words he is happy to talk seeds to anyone, anywhere!

He is a renowned seed grower and founder of Useful Seeds. He works to preserve old varieties, embrace new discoveries and develop seed systems that are productive, resilient and full of flavour.

Gregg is an ever-learning seed expert, and advocate for diversity, chemical-free, and low input growing.

WHAT YOU MAY LEARN
Every thriving garden, healthy food system and resilient community starts with a seed! It's simple but true. Seed Systems part one with Gregg promises to be a hands-on workshop that explores the fascinating world of seeds.

Participants will learn about seed selection, seed collecting, cleaning and drying techniques, and seed labelling and storage through practical demonstrations and hands-on seed work. Plus take home seeds from Gregg's exclusive collection.

Whether you're a home gardener, experienced grower or simply curious about where food begins, expect to leave with an abundance of information, practical skills and a deeper appreciation for the power of seeds. Walk away inspired!

The workshop will commence with a brief farm tour and finish with a dish to share made from Farm My School nutrient dense produce to celebrate the full circle of the seed.

WHAT YOU NEED
Please wear comfortable shoes and attire to be on the farm for most of the workshop.
Be prepared to get your hands dirty.

Also recommend that you pack your own water bottle, notebook and pen.

WHO ARE WE
Farm My School is a not-for-profit organisation that collaborates with schools to promote healthy eating, ecological stewardship and connected communities. Farm My School transforms underutilised school lands into regenerative market gardens to nourish, educate and connect its local communities.

The Farm My School Nourish workshop series has been designed to help families unlock affordable ways to grow and cook simple, nourishing food. Run by renowned chefs, food makers and our own Farm My School team, the workshops are designed to encourage simple and practical ways to think about food growing, health and wellbeing.

WHAT ELSE DO WE DO
We work with organically-grown, nutrient-dense and seasonal produce from Farm My School, which are available to purchase via our weekly or subscription veggie boxes.

We also offer education sessions, incubator traineeships, corporate experiences and other community workshops.

This is more than a farm – this is a food hub built for community, connection, education and sustainability!
