About this event

This workshop, presented by Raji Navis, founder of the 'Taste of Mindfulness' retreat at Budgong, NSW South Coast, will develop and nourish the bond between Mothers & Daughters.

We will do yoga, mindfulness meditation, empathy matrix and character strength profile to understand each other and commit to a pathway of bonding and nourishing the relationship.

You do not need prior knowledge of yoga or mindfulness meditation to attend.

It is recommended that daughters are aged 15 and above, and mothers and daughters are together at the same place to do the connected, fun yoga. 


What’s on Agenda

10:00 - 10:30 am: Fun yoga: You will have fun connecting and supporting each other in the yoga exercises.

10:30 - 10:45 am: Mindfulness Meditation: Step into a guided mindfulness meditation to connect your energies to give and receive love and support.

10:45 - 11:15 am: Unique 'You': Understand your unique character strength. Discussion about the theory of the 13.7 billion-year-old universe, unique 'you’ and your energy in this universe. You will be given a link upon registration to undertake a character strength survey before the workshop.

11:15 - 11:30 am - Tea Break

11:30 - 12:00 pm: Discussion: Understand the relationship through the intergenerational silence, restrictive gender roles, unrealized career goals and sacrificing caregiving roles.

12:00 - 12:30 pm: Exercises: Empathy matrix and exercises to understand each others expectations, connect, bond, and heal.

          Yoga mat (just one mat to share!), cushion or book to enable you to sit crossed-legged on the floor with your spine straight for yoga & meditation session, notebook, pen and highlighters.
