November Field Day at Maslin Creek with Randall Wine Group
Description
Where: 90 Malpas Road, McLaren Vale
When: 9am - 11am
What: Weeding, killing and more weeding!
Dear Biodiversiteers,
Isn’t it great to live south of the Onkaparinga! Coz otherwise I’d have to be mad about a whole lot of things this month and by now I’d be sick and tired of being sick and tired.
But instead, we’re just going to get our hands dirty, and make good friends with the part of Maslin Creek that was formerly referred to as Fox Creek.
The date is Sunday 1 November and, as always, we’ll fire up at 9.00 bells. The site is at the Creek crossing down the drive off Malpas Road, there’ll be a ‘uge yellow banner flapping languidly in the morning breeze to proclaim our presence.
And the task for the morning is to Clean the Creek. Thanks to Randall Wine Group, and some other special people which we aren't formally allowed to announce but will on the day.
Anyway, as I said, we’ll be killing weeds, and cleaning up from the planting years ago. There’ll be easy weeds to get to, suitable for families of all ages, and jungle weeds, which are going to provide great adventure for our most intrepid operators. Fun for everyone, and then, when all is said and done, there’ll a giant barbecue and a moment of modest imbibement before we all head on our happy way.
See you there. I can’t hardly wait! P.S. Make sure to register, otherwise we wont know how giant to make the barbecue.
Geoff
