Join acclaimed Auckland-based poet, author, and playwright Dominic Hoey for a two-day creative writing workshop focused on short stories and novel writing.

Across the weekend, you’ll explore key storytelling techniques in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Day One covers the fundamentals of writing fiction, with a focus on character development, dialogue, and story structure, including practical exercises and group discussions.
Day Two dives into setting, point of view, and editing, with the opportunity to receive personalised feedback and workshop your writing in small groups.

The course will wrap up with a reflection session to help you plan your next steps as a writer, whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your craft.
