The show includes performances and interviews with both of our visiting artists, and an interview segment with changemakers from our local and national community who are doing their part to make the world a better place. As an attendee, you serve as a vital part of our eTown show, which will be broadcast across the country on our affiliate radio stations and all streaming platforms. Listen for your cheers on the radio, and to hear how it all comes together, in just a few weeks following the night!
Cell phone use, photos (from phones and professional cameras), and audio and video recording are all strictly prohibited during the radio taping. Thanks for your understanding, and for your help in allowing the artists and audience to be present for this special evening together!
About Sean Rowe:
Sean Rowe is an American singer-songwriter, musician, recording artist and forager. Rowe has a powerful sound with an emotional conviction that demands attention. NPR’s All Songs Considered says of his vocals, “He can just crush granite with that voice. It’s so powerful.” The Wall Street Journal proclaimed, “Mr. Rowe's ringing baritone is as timeless as his approach, recalling the ecstatic intensity of late-'60s Van Morrison and stark subtlety of late-era Johnny Cash."
Over the course of his career, Sean has recorded five full-length albums and several EPs. His music has been used widely throughout film and television with notable examples including NBC’s hit dramas The Blacklist and Parenthood. His song “To Leave Something Behind” was one of two non-score tracks to be featured in Ben Affleck’s 2016 feature film The Accountant. The song accompanied the film’s final scene and has since received over 16 million streams on Spotify alone.
As one critic noted, “Sean Rowe can just crush granite with that voice. It's so powerful.” He is an acclaimed and well-respected forager and songwriter whose music has been used extensively in television and film. Sean is currently wrapping production on his soon-to-be-announced sixth album.
