Hike routes through High Park might include some uneven terrain and mild slopes.
The High Park Forest School building is not yet an AODA-compliant facility.

What to Bring - What should I bring with me to the event?

It's important to come prepared for an outdoor event.  Events at the Nature Centre will run rain or shine.  We recommend checking the weather when preparing to attend an event or workshop. Dress for the weather in weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable, close-toe footwear. Sun protection: sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses(Optional) Insect repellant(Optional) A peanut- or nut-free snack(Optional) Refillable water bottle

Dogs, Pets, and Service Animals - Can I bring my dog to the event?

Dogs and other pets are not permitted in our programs. However, certified service animals, such as registered therapy or guide dogs, are welcome.

Getting to the Forest School - How do I get to the High Park Nature Centre - Forest School?

The High Park Nature Centre - Forest School is located at 375 Colborne Lodge Drive.  CyclingOn the north side of the Forest School there are bike racks.  Please bring your own bike lock. There are several Bike Share Toronto docking stations in and near High Park.  Please see the Bike Share Toronto website for information about the program and docking station locations. Public Transporation (TTC)Subway: The closest subway station to the High Park Nature Centre - Forest School is High Park Station.  After exiting High Park Station through the High Park Avenue exit, walk south into High Park.  The Forest school is the first vuilding on your left, about 5 minutes from the subway station. When taking the TTC, please visit the TTC’s website for route schedules, fares and passes, and service advisories and alerts before departing. DrivingOn weekends, High Park is closed to vehicles. Parking is available outside the park along Bloor St. W. and at the Keele and Runnymede Stations Green P parking lots. Please leave early to allow for time to find parking.
