About James

In 2014 a life-altering sporting accident left James a quadriplegic. James has refused to let his disability define him and he has worked tirelessly to regain his independence, marry the love of his life, travel the world, become a father, and rediscover his passion for sport through wheelchair rugby.

Prior to 2021 James had never played the sport, and his meteoric rise saw him move from novice to World Champion in just 11 months. James has just returned from competing at the Paralympics in Paris, where his team were able to secure a Bronze Medal. In his presentation, James will speak about the hard-fought lessons learnt after acquiring his disability, his return to sport and his experience at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
