Rainforest Rescue is excited to announce another tree planting day! Together we can Protect Rainforests Forever.

When:

Saturday 19th November 2022 – please ensure you arrive by 8am
📌Please Note: Due to maintenance work the Daintree ferry will be closed from 10pm Friday 18th November 2022 until 5am Tuesday 22nd November 2022. Unfortunately, this will mean that Rainforest Rescuers who live north of the river won't be able to get to the planting site for this event. We'll miss you! And we hope to see you all at the next planting day.

Where:

Tranquility on the Daintree (893 Upper Daintree Rd, Upper Daintree, Qld).
Please do not park at the main gate - instead, follow the signs to the regen site, where you will find better parking (and you won't have to walk as far).

What to bring:

A water bottle (we will provide a water refill station), sturdy closed-toed boots/shoes, sun-safe attire (e.g., hat & sunscreen), face mask (if you wish to wear one) and a willingness to get your hands dirty.

RR will provide:

First aid kit, healthy snacks, hand sanitiser, gloves & small trowels (locals are welcome to bring their own if they are new or clean), a great location, seedlings, and pre-dug holes.

Overview of the Day

The planting event will commence at 8:00am, so we will be finished before noon – before it gets too hot.

Health & Safety

As always, the health & safety of our staff, supporters & the communities in which we work are of utmost importance to us. We ask that all attendees register for a free ticket via Humanitix.

Please ensure you dress appropriately for the event (e.g., sun-safe clothing, hat, sturdy closed-toed boots/shoes) & stay hydrated throughout the day. If you are feeling heat affected or need assistance during the event, please approach one of our friendly staff.

If you are feeling generally unwell, have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 within 14 days of the planting, or have symptoms of cold or flu, please do not attend the planting. We thank you for considering the well-being of others.
