The Novus Foundation’s role is to develop and support local projects directed at the welfare of our youth, by organising an annual fundraising Gala Dinner.
THEME for 2022 dinner: LATINO!!
You can dress in Latino gear or maybe wear a touch of red or gold, or just glam up a bit and enjoy the fun and entertainment of the night, all the while knowing that you’re helping our very worthwhile charities. See below for more about our beneficiaries.
BAND Venus Music is a highly polished act that is visually fabulous and vocally fantastic. Venus places strong emphasis on percussion in all its diverse forms, as well as growling trumpet and brass, and this will add a fantastic element to our Latino theme, with audience participation a must!
ENTERTAINER Jack Black, International Comic Magician with over 35 years of performance experience and thousands of events to his name, Jack Black is undoubtedly one of Australia’s finest comic magicians and corporate entertainers. A true master of his art, Jack Black brings to the stage a Magic and Comedy performance that will amaze, intrigue and make you laugh. He is an entertainment professional and is well known for his creativity, unparalleled skills and hilarious approach to entertaining audiences. He is regarded by many as being one of the funniest and one of the most entertaining magicians working today.
MC and Auctioneer Demo Simis has been working in the entertainment industry for over 30 years. He is very versatile and popular with a style that is very witty, old school, original and with a lot of laughs. He lives by the saying “Live every day as if it was your last and some day you will be right!”
THE NOVUS FOUNDATION’S BENEFICIARIES FOR 2022
Stepping Stone House’s vision is to end youth homelessness in Australia. Stepping Stone House provides homeless and at-risk youth with accommodation and personal development to help them become independent and the very best they can be. They focus on wellness, skills for life and emotional resilience to build children and young people’s wellbeing and independence.
StreetWork helps change the lives of at-risk disadvantaged youth in Sydney’s North, aiming to break the sad cycle of crime, destructive family relationships, rejection and isolation, learning difficulties, substance abuse and more. It exists to assist these young people and help them reclaim their lives for a positive future.
Be Centre is a special place supporting children and families whose lives have been impacted by trauma such as domestic violence, physical or sexual abuse, neglect or other serious life challenges. Be Centre relies only on the generosity of donors to ensure that they can assist every child who turns to them for help and support.
