Channel 83 Presents: NOW SHOWING 01 - FUNNY GAMES (1997)

Date & Time: Saturday, 14th November 2026 | Doors Open 7:00 PM | Screening Starts 7:30 PM

Venue: The Backlot, 21 Simpson St, West Perth 6005

Rating: R18+ (Restricted to audiences aged 18 and over)

An idyllic summer holiday on an Austrian lake quickly unravels when two soft-spoken, white-gloved young men take an affluent family hostage in their lakeside home. What follows is a series of sadistically calculated survival games that push psychological tension to its absolute limit.

Michael Haneke’s uncompromising masterwork strips away standard cinema tropes, turning the camera back on the audience in a cold, brilliant, and unforgettable critique of media violence.
