You Hear It All - Now What?
Event description
YOU HEAR IT ALL… NOW WHAT?
A Wellbeing Masterclass for Hairdressers & Barbers
Proudly presented by the Office of Small and Family Business in collaboration with the South Australian Hair & Beauty Association.
As a hairdresser or barber, your chair is more than just a place for style—it's a space where stories are shared, emotions are expressed, and people open up. But when you're the one who hears it all… who's looking after you?
In this interactive, engaging, and practical workshop, we’ll dive into the unique emotional demands of your profession. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with others in the industry and explore real-world strategies to care for yourself while continuing to support your clients.
Whether you run your own salon or work as part of a team, this session will help you:
-
Understand the impact of being a “safe space” for clients
-
Recognise signs of vicarious trauma and emotional fatigue
-
Set and maintain healthy boundaries without losing connection
-
Find balance between personal wellbeing and professional passion
-
Access practical tools and resources for mental health support
-
Reflect, recharge, and feel seen—because you matter too
