Friends of Nowanup
Noongar language and culture - Djeran camp with Noongar Elders Iris Woods and Eugene Eades
Creating opportunities to learn Noongar language and culture for each of the six Noongar seasons, supported by music, song, dance, crafts and food.
Our camps are made possible through volunteer contributions by the Friends of Nowanup and payments from participants
Timing: Arrive Thursday mid-afternoon and depart early Saturday afternoon OR come when you can between those times.
Who can attend: This camp is open to adults and children with an interest in learning more about Noongar language and culture.
Catering: Provided – Community cooking help is appreciated.
Costs: Please allow a contribution of $100 ($65 concession) per adult for the whole camp. Children are free. Contact Rod if you would appreciate financial support to attend.

Donations: We appreciate donations towards materials for the working bees and future activities. Donations are tax deductible and can be made via https://gondwanalink.org/get-involved/donate.
What to bring: Please bring camping gear, clothing for warm, cool, wet and cold conditions, your musical instruments and art materials.

All events are are drug and alcohol free and subject to Covid 19 restrictions. Camps may be cancelled if Very High or Extreme Fire Danger is forecast
