Have you heard the story of Nowanup? The place of the Mallee Fowl, the place with a 16 year history of Healing Country and Healing People?
This is an invitation to come for a day and meet Goreng Noongar Custodians of Nowanup, the Eades family, along with a community of Friends and kin that have grown around this mooditj place and story of environmental and cultural restoration.
Arrive at 11am for a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony.
Options for exploring Nowanup, either on foot or via your own transport will be available with guides at meeting points.
Return to camp to share in a community lunch and yarning circle.
Get your groove on to live music from the Mixed Mob and more TBC.
Numbers are limited and bookings made by Monday the 25th September.
Clothing, Footwear: All participating individuals are responsible for ensuring the appropriate clothing and footwear is considered for the tour or activity being undertaken.
Outdoor walking tours and activities may require warm or protective clothing, comfortable, enclosed footwear and a hat. Sunscreen, insect repellent, bottled water and a camera is also highly recommended.
