Nowra Life Drawing Studio runs regular untutored life drawing sessions in the Shoalhaven. Sessions are quiet, focused, and artist-led — a working studio environment, not a social night. Nude figure model. BYO all materials. 18+ only. No alcohol. No photography. Limited places.
As an incorporated not-for-profit community arts organisation, we exist to make regular, serious life drawing accessible in the Shoalhaven. All proceeds go directly to venue hire, model fees, and keeping ticket prices as low as possible.

FAQs
- What do I need to bring?
All drawing materials — paper, sketchbook, charcoal, pencils, pastels, whatever you work with. There is no shop on site. An easel or drawing board is recommended; a small number may be available to borrow but cannot be guaranteed.
- Is there a nude model?
Yes. This is a traditional life drawing session with a nude figure model. If you are not comfortable with that, this session is not the right fit.
- What level of experience do I need?
None — but you should be comfortable working independently. Sessions are untutored and peer-led. There is no instruction, feedback, or demonstration. Come ready to draw.
- What is the session structure?
Doors open at 6:00pm. Drawing runs from 6:30 to 8:30pm. The session includes a range of poses of increasing duration, with regular breaks for the model. Exact pose lengths vary by session.
- Why no walk-ins?
Pre-registration protects the model and keeps the space calm and curated. Please book in advance via this page.
- Can I take photos?
No photography of any kind — this applies to the model, other artists' work, and the space generally.
- Is alcohol permitted?
No. This is an alcohol-free studio session.
