NPA Keynote Series - JULY 2023 - Social sector mental health and wellbeing

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

How confident do you feel about managing mental health and wellbeing issues in your organisation?

As the incidence of mental health issues is on the rise, both within our workplaces and in the communities we serve, many leaders have expressed growing concern:

  • What is our duty of care?
  • Where do our legal responsibilities lie?
  • What impact does relational wellbeing have on organisational culture?
  • How do we identify and manage psychosocial hazards/risks at work?
  • What proactive measures can we take today, to help prevent incidents occurring?

Join our July Workshop to get practical advice to ensure your organisation is addressing this important issue.

Amrita Howell from Toop Workplace Law will discuss recent changes to Work Health and Safety legislation and the legal obligations of organisations to ensure a psychologically safe and healthy workplace. She will address questions regarding the boundaries of our duty of care.

Elisabeth Shaw, CEO of Relationships Australia NSW will be guiding us through a directed discussion on relational wellbeing across multiple contexts and circumstances, including what we bring to work; how relationships play out at work; and the impact on workplace culture and wellbeing.

Opening the session will be Leanne Hart, a specialist member of The Xfactor Collective Foundation and a wellbeing leadership professional. She will provide a tour of The Community Well, an online hub designed for busy not-for-profit leaders. The hub includes over 80 resources covering prevention, proactive measures, crisis management, and customized support. Leanne will showcase the Organisational Health Check tool and Wellbeing Strategy Toolkit, empowering you to enhance your team's wellbeing.

We hope you will join us for what will be an insightful event!
