Event description

The War for Talent: There is movement in the sector.. and the word is getting ‘round!

Is there a war for talent in the Australian NFP job market and should we be concerned?

A recent Gallup analysis found that 48% of America's working population are actively job searching or watching for opportunities – and businesses, across industries, are facing staggeringly high resignation rates, whilst struggling to find talent to fill roles.

So, what’s happening here in Australia?

We’ve asked three experts in their field to join us to share their observations of the Australian job market; and what key factors they believe determine employee engagement.

How has the landscape changed for not-for-profit employers?

  • Are we all searching for the same talent eg. Digital and fundraising? Or are there broader issues at play?
  • What are our employees looking for? How can we ensure they find it in their current roles?
  • Why would talent choose us over another organisation?
  • When we find the right person, how do we effectively onboard them to ensure attachment - and avoid detachment in the longer term?

Our three Roundtable Guests will each bring a different perspective from their area of specialty.. with clear alignment on the importance of culture and purpose to the engagement equation.

Our Roundtable Guests:

  • Nina Mapson Bone – MD, Beaumont People
  • Hiam Sakakini - Founder, The Culture Equation
  • Anthony Sork – MD, Sork HC Pty Ltd; shcBOND
