Event description

The NSW Smart Sensing Network (NSSN) 3rd Ageing Forum is at NSW Parliament House on 22 October 2024 and is titled ‘Building a technology augmented care economy – with sensors, AI and data’.

At the NSSN we are collaborating with our industry, academic and government partners to augment the disability and aged care health workforce through the smart deployment of technology. We believe we have little choice given the looming workforce crisis. We are taking an Australian-owned ecosystem approach to creating and building a technology augmented care economy that combines:

Sensors+data+AI+software+sovereignty+healthsystemintegration+viablecaresolutions+reimbursementmodels.

The Forum is being curated by our Ageing Grand Challenge Lead, Catherine Oates Smith. You will be joining to name a few:

  • Dr Ian Oppermann, NSSN Board Member; former Chief Data Scientist of NSW; Director, Standards Australia; and Co-Founder, ServiceGen.
  • Dr Jill Freyne, NSSN Board Member; Deputy Chief Scientist, CSIRO.
  • Claudia Odello, Deputy CEO, NSW Meals on Wheels.
  • Dr George Margelis, Chair, Aged Care Industry Information Technology Council.

Both the NSW Minister for Innovation, Science & Technology, The Hon. Anoulack Chanthivong MP and NSW Minister for Seniors, The Hon. Jodie Harrison MP, will also be issued invitations to present.
